SPEAKERS INCLUDE:
Edward G. Weston is director of WIRE-Net’s Great Lakes Wind Network™, a Cleveland-based, industryled organization of manufacturers and suppliers whose mission is to increase the domestic content of North America’s wind turbines. Ed joined WIRE-Net with experience as a senior manufacturing executive in both multi-national corporations and closely-held operations. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a B.A. in Economics and holds an M.S. from the Krannert School of Business at Purdue University. Ed is also a retired naval officer.
Matt Garran is director of technical services for WIRE-Net’s Great Lakes WIND Network™, a Cleveland-based, industry-led organization of manufacturers and suppliers whose mission is to serve the needs of the rapidly expanding wind market by growing the wind industry supply chain. An engineer by training, Matt’s professional experience includes product evaluation and testing, metrology, quality management systems, environmental health and safety compliance and training, facility operation, maintenance and modernization, as well as business continuity and emergency preparedness.
Dale Reckman is director of field services for WIRE-Net’s Great Lakes WIND Network™, Cleveland-based, non-profit supply chain organization whose mission is to increase the percentage of domestic manufactured content in North America’s wind turbines. Great Lakes WIND Network has an expanding network of more than 1000 manufacturing companies located throughout North America and connects wind turbine OEMs, manufacturers, and regional economic development organizations in ways that accelerate investment and new manufacturing jobs. A seasoned manufacturing executive with extensive experience in the wind industry, Reckman brings to Great Lakes WIND Network over 25 years in operations, engineering and product development, estimating, sales and project management, procurement, and supply chain management.
Dylan Tuttle is the Business Services Coordinator at Jane Addams Resource Corporation. He is responsible for administering an industrial retention program for the City of Chicago and business development for a technical training program in the metalworking trades. Given the crisis in the auto industry and the recession, Dylan has been focusing his efforts on supply chain development and lead generation within the renewable energy industry.
Bob Weinstein is President of the Illinois Manufacturing Extension Center, a nonprofit economic development and manufacturing consulting organization with an $8.4 million annual budget and 40-plus staff. IMEC is part of the National Manufacturing Extension Partnership that works with over 25,000 manufacturers each year to help them develop and implement market diversification/growth strategies, ensure product quality, implement lean manufacturing and administrative processes, and integrate new technology into their operations. Bob has a Ph.D. in Economics from the university of Texas with research specializations in energy economics and urban regional economic development.
Mike Milbratz is the Manager of Sales and Marketing for Bley LLC. a precision CNC machining and manufacturing company based in Elk Grove Village Illinois. He has 30 years of sales experience in process control, measurement and test, manufacturing and machining and earned his B.S. Degree from Western Illinois University. Mike has been with Bley for the past 7 years and involved with the Wind Industry for the past 3 years.
Perry J. Wozney is the Director of Strategic Procurement for Acciona Windpower North America. He has 23 years of manufacturing experience, industry experience in automotive, consumer products, appliance and medical electronics. He also has 13 years of Supply Chain experience with roles in Manufacturing, Production Management, Materials and Procurement, 10 years of international business experience, and B.S. in Materials Engineering.
Steve Barnhart has been a Manufacturing Specialist with IMEC for over a year. His skills and experience include service development, project management, strategic planning, change management, problem solving, conflict resolution, training, leadership development, and financial analysis. Steve is a service champion at IMEC for Eureka Winning Ways and Lean Accounting and Measurement Systems and is also a certified Prosci Change Management Specialist. Prior to joining IMEC, Steve was the founder and owner of Eagle Rock Consulting for nine years. Steve provided organization development consulting for clients, developed a manager/supervisor skills training curriculum, provided team assessment and development training for leadership teams, developed a web-based strategic planning process, and presented leadership development strategies at both local and international trade association conventions.
